I am a visual learner. My brain is a wind tunnel.  Verbal instructions fly in one ear and out the other.  Perhaps that’s why KISS applies to me–‘Keep It Simple Sweetie.’  The Message paraphrase of Romans 12:1, 2 was written just for me. ‘So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you.  Take your everyday ordinary life–your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life–and place it before God as an offering.  Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.’  It goes on to say, fix your attention on God.  You’ll be changed from the inside out’…  It gets better.  Read it for yourself.

Who of us does not want to change something about her or himself?  Paul keeps it simple–let go and let God.  This is a hard lesson for me to learn; how about you?  Some of us are so programmed almost from infancy to ‘do it myself,’ letting go is the most difficult lesson to learn.  But I’ve learned that until I do, until I follow written instructions in Romans 12:1,2, I will always be discontent and critical of myself and probably of others as well.

“Today I’m letting go, Lord–again.  Thank You for your endless patience with this slow learner.”
