Words Fail at Such a Time

Angry, affronted, annoyed, antagonized, bitter, chafed,choleric, convulsed, cross, displeased, enraged,exacerbated, exasperated, ferociousfierce,fiery, fuming, furious, galled, hateful, heated,hot, huffy, impassionedincensed,indignant, inflamed, infuriatedirascibleirate,ireful,  irritableirritated, maddened, nettled,offended, outraged, piqued, provokedraging,resentful, riled, sore,  splenetic, storming, sulky,sullentumultuousturbulentuptight,vexed, wrathful-justplain MAD!  There aren’t enough words to adequately describe my feelings tonight.

Moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts uncles, brothers sisters, cousins, best friends, church members, school buds, neighbors–hundreds of lives beyond the 26 victims deaths have been irrevocably scarred.  For them the  joy of Christmas will forever be tainted.  Who said the bad guys win as long as the good folk do nothing?  So here’s to twiddling our thumbs once again while some sicko is out there planning his big splash of innocent blood in your town or in mine.   I know, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”  Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
