When Life Gives You Lemons…

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” so the saying goes.  I say, “When life gives you lemons, Rejoice!”  After you squeeze the juice out of the lemon for your lemonade, bag the lemon and put it in your freezer.  Once frozen, grate the fruit and sprinkle it on your vegetable salad, on ice cream, on chicken, on soup.  It doesn’t matter if your dish is Chinese, italian, French, African or Indonesian, the foods will taste great with the added twist of lemon.

Of course you know lemon juice is rich in vitamin C, but did you know lemon peels contain as much as 5-10 times more vitamins than the lemon itself?  An added benefit, the lemon peel helps with weight reduction.  according to the Institute of Health Scineces in Baltimore MD.  Lemon is a miraculous product that kills cancer cells, 10,000 times stronger than most cancer medicines.  It regulates blood pressure, and acts as an antidepressant.  It is reported to destroy the malignant cells in 12 cancers including colon, breast, prostate, lung as a start.  Is it possible that God has placed cures in nature for whatever disease Satan contrives?

James 1:2,3 Messsage paraphrase says, “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.  You know that under pressure, your faith-filled life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely.  Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.”  If everything seems to be going wrong and you feel like life isn’t fair and life is giving you lemons, rejoice and ask the Father to give you the wisdom on how to turn those lemons into the best lemonade, an ale that will glorify His Holy Name.  So go ahead, dare make a pitcher of lemonade out of the lemons in your life today.
