The Wow Factor

Posted on Dec. 13 (Bloomberg) — Scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research have narrowed the range where the hypothetical “God particle” created at the beginning of the universe may be found, closing in on evidence of its existence.

The particle, also known as Higgs boson, most likely has a mass in the region between 116 and 130 gigaelectronvolts of energy being studied by one research team and between 115 and 127 gigaelectronvolts under observation by another team, according to data presented today by the Geneva-based research institute. Independent measurements point to a range of 124 to 126 gigaelectronvolts, researchers said.

Imagine, if you can, the precise measurement of .00000000000000005?  That’s the degree to which scientists are now saying it took to bring together the elements of life for our universe.  A hair less and space would contract to nothingness; a smidgeon more and nothing would have formed.   There’d be no galaxy and no solar system.  That’s what the Hicks boson or the God-particle is all about.  All of creation comes down to what experts believe will prove the Big Bang Theory.  Still only existing in theory physicist are trying to break down the fabric of the universe to one tiny God-particle. If this elusive “thing” exists, it will disprove Einstein’s theory that nothing can travel faster than light.

Personally I believe that when they think they’ve solved this mystery,  a myriad a new and exciting questions will unfold.

I can almost see the Creator smiling at these human masterminds, as a parent smiles when his two-year-old daughter first holds an earthworm in her chubby hand.  I can almost hear Him say, “If you think that’s exciting, wait until you see beyond your Universe into My multi-verse.  Look beyond yourselves!  See how much I love you.”

Ephesians 3: 17-20 Message “…that you with both feet firmly planted in love, you will be a able…to tai win the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love.  Reach out and experience the breadth!  Test its length! Plumb the depths!  Rise to the heights!… God can do anything–far more than you can ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!”
