Too Physically Fit

Can anyone be too physically fit?  I didn’t think so until I received this from a dear facebook friend this morning.  I don’t know if it is original with her or not, but it’s clever and tickled my fancy.  Whoever wrote it deserves recognition!  I just had to  blog it to you guys:

“I have been to a lot of places, but I’ve never been in Cahoots.
Apparently you can’t go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.
I’ve also never been in Cognito, either. I hear no one recognizes you there.
I have, however, been in Sane. They don’t have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips, thanks to my friends and family.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump and I’m not much on physical activity.”

In the land of Conclusions, there’s a Negative Conclusion  and a Positive Conclusion (like North Dakota and South Dakota).  Unfortunately when it comes to my husband, my children, my friends, the people I meet on the street, it seems easier for me to jump to the first one more often than to the latter.

A simple example:  A driver cuts me off on the Interstate causing me to swerve and brake–and I jump to Negative Conclusions.  I don’t know what made him act so erratic, but I can voice a bundle of suggestions on his intellect and his driving skills.  A church member walks past me in the grocery store without saying hello?  There I go again, jumping to Negative Conclusions.  Truthfully I can’t remember too many times I jump to Positive Conclusions, even though the weather in that community is lovely and more to my liking, especially when someone else is doing the jumping.

I could  choose to cut back on jumping to Negative Conclusions; spend more time at the universally renowned luxury resort in Cahoots with my friend, the Holy Spirit.  Life, wherever I reside, would become much more pleasant.  Or I could chose to continue strengthening my jumping skills; drive myself in Sane; and drive those I love there as well.  :-)

1 Corinthians 13 (Message paraphrase) ” Love always looks for the best [in people].”  It doesn’t think evil of others.

Hi Kay, just went to your blog and loved it. I was just using that text in my prayers this morning for our prayer time at church. Fun to see you on sabbath. Lois
